As part of our celebrations for #UniMentalHealthDay this event is open to all who are interested.

About the session

For the past 12 months UKMSA (UK Men's Sheds Association) has been delivering a pilot scheme to get more universities involved in the world of Shedding. If you don't know what a 'Shed' is, they're small community organisations that promote wellbeing, through the reduction of isolation and loneliness. They often carry out activities that would traditionally be done in a shed such as wood working, mending and repairing etc.

In this session we will hear from Keira Summerhayes, Shed Development Officer - Universities about the progress of the pilot project and we'll also be hearing from staff at the University of East London, who have been working hard to set up their own Shed for staff and students.
