About the session

Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) is a very severe form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS). 

Ashley has a particular interest in PMDD and its impact on student wellbeing and academic engagement. This session will draw on findings from a student led project on ‘Attitudes and understanding towards PMDD from support teams in higher education settings.’

About the speaker

Ashley Cave is a Mental Health Advisor at the University of Sunderland with a focus on supporting students with complex mental health difficulties. Ashley is a long-standing member of UMHAN and in 2022 wrote for the UMHAN blog about her role:
