As a professional body represented by UMHAN, the number of Mental Health Advisers employed across the sector has been steadily growing. The role of a Mental Health Adviser is not to be a Counsellor but you can find out what their role includes and how they can support you by following this link.
If a University's webpage isn't listed, this may mean they do not employ a Mental Health Adviser or that they have not joined the University Mental Health Advisers Network. We suggest you look directly at the University's website to find out about the support that is available for you. Alternatively, have a read of our blog about 'Support Available' for some more idea of the services you may have access to.
Are you a Mental Health Adviser in Higher Education? Not yet joined UMHAN? Or perhaps you're managing a Mental Health Adviser? You can find some more information on the benefits of UMHAN membership, criteria & how to apply on our Membership webpages.
